We grow butcher lambs on request -- advance notice is required.

Barbados Blackbelly meat is incredibly lean, tender and much milder than commercial lamb products.  Because Barbados Blackbelly is a hair breed, there is no lanolin, so no muttony taste often associated with lamb.  Once you try Barbados Blackbelly lamb, you will be hooked!

Lambs are sold alive, on the hoof, for $1.25 per pound.  Arrangements can be made with a local custom meat processing facility for slaughter and packaging.  We will deliver to the meat processor for you, upon request, for a delivery fee of $25.00.

How much meat is on a lamb?

The approximate amount of cut and wrapped meat you get is 45-50% of the animal's live weight. A 100-lb lamb will typically provide 45-50 lb of packaged meat, depending on your choice of cuts.

Cuts Available

LEGS: whole, bone in, roasts, chops, ground, stew meat
LOIN:  chops, roast, ground
SHOULDERS: roast, chops, ground
SHANKS: whole, half, or ground
RIBS: rack, short ribs, ground
Scraps: Great pet food, yields about 4 lbs. per whole lamb (not included in packaged estimate above)
